Zhangjiajie Airport Launches the 2026/27 Winter–Spring Flight Season

China’s civil aviation switches to its 2026–2027 winter–spring season on October 25, 2026, and the new schedule runs through March 28, 2027. Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport (DYA) has published its seasonal timetable — more daily flights on trunk routes, a brand-new inter-provincial routing, and the strongest Korea capacity of any mountain destination in China. If Zhangjiajie is on your winter itinerary, this is the season to book.

Domestic routes: daily flights to the big six, plus a new routing

Six destinations keep daily service all winter long: Beijing (both Capital and Daxing airports), Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi’an, Chengdu Tianfu and Fuzhou. Regular services continue to Shenyang, Jinan, Haikou, Nanning, Guiyang, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Nanjing and Ningbo.

What actually changed this season:

  • China Express added frequencies on its Wuhan – Zhangjiajie – Guiyang routing — now daily.

  • China Southern added frequencies on Guangzhou — now daily.

  • Fuzhou Airlines optimized its Xi’an – Zhangjiajie – Fuzhou loop — now daily.

  • Sichuan Airlines added frequencies on Chengdu Tianfu — now daily — and resumed Xi’an on Tue / Thu / Sat / Sun.

  • GX Airlines (Beibu Gulf) launched a new Nanning – Zhangjiajie – Shenyang routing, flying Tue / Thu / Sat.

International routes: Korea leads, Southeast Asia steady

Korea remains Zhangjiajie’s strongest inbound market. Incheon and Busan are each served about twice a day, Daegu and Cheongju about once a day — more than 80 flights per week between Zhangjiajie and Korea in total. In Southeast Asia, stable services continue to Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok and Singapore.

The airport says it will keep adjusting the network through the season. All times are subject to change — confirm with the airport hotline (0744-2233666) before you fly.

Planning your trip around the new schedule

If you are flying in, the airport sits about 40 minutes from Wulingyuan and the Forest Park gate — most travelers book a private airport transfer instead of negotiating taxis after a late arrival. Winter is also the quietest season here, but note that Tianmen Mountain is running a single routing this winter while cable car works continue, so check the current situation before you lock in dates.

Booking domestic flights in China on a foreign passport has its own quirks — we cover them in this guide, along with the visa-free entry options most Korean and Southeast Asian travelers can use right now. For live schedule changes, check Variflight or ask us via our contact page.
